This year baking xmas cookies was perfect excuse for leaving Tricity and visiting my mom and sister. Besides, meeting in front of fireplace, with wine and good music is always totally the best, especially during xmas freakiness it’s totally a relief.
Step 1: Prepare caramel (don’t forget to involve all your beloved). Melt 1/2 kg of sugar on frying pan constanly mixing, afterwords take off from the fire and slowly pour 1/2 cup of water. Let it cool down.
Then mix yolks with 1 lb of sugar, milk and sour cream.
In another vessel (the biggest you can find in your kitchen) mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, gingerbread spices, cinnamon, ground cloves & cocoa), add cut into small pices lard and yolk mass. Then add caramel by small doses.
Mix the dough by hand till it become stickless.
Our gingerbreads don’t need to aging, so you can make them just before christmas, additionally it will be perfect for the presents.
